Bacteria in the Mouth

Bacteria produce sulfur compounds that cause foul odors when they metabolize food particles.

Medications commonly associated with dry mouth include antidepressants, blood pressure medications, and antihistamines.


To prevent bad breath, it is important to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily and flossing once daily. 

Visit your dentist every six months for checkups, avoid harmful substances like tobacco, and drink plenty of water.
